Fabrication Services
Precision Honeycomb provides Honeycomb and Foam core fabrication of parts for use in aerostructures. We have 5 axis machining centers equipped with state of the art cutting tools, many we design and build ourselves to assure maximum quality of features and surface finishes. We have a premium duty, multi-speed, multi-angle bandsaw for use in table cutting of core parts, templates, fixture blanks etc. Our Bridgeport Mill is a multi- use piece of equipment we use for fixture and tool building, making brackets, tapping holes etc. We have a full range of various power and hand tools that support production on a daily basis.
Oven Services
Our large, AMS-2750F certified oven is used for a multitude of special processes including core forming, bonding, potting, and stabilization. It’s regularly tested for temperature uniformity. The oven is equipped with a contemporary, laptop driven controlling unit and is programmable to your specific recipe for time, temperature, and pressure. We can provide customers with reports documenting cycle ramp up, soak, and ramp down times and temperatures to assure your parts have been handled properly. The oven is fully equipped with a vacuum system used for bagging and vacuuming parts in support of all of the special processes mentioned above.
Engineering Services
Our engineering department has a superior understanding of the nuances of working with core of all types. We know what can and cannot be achieved when cutting core. Our team is excellent at proofing incoming engineering packages and provides a valuable backstop for finding problems before they occur on the manufacturing floor. We can design and build machine fixtures, tooling, and shop aids in-house in many cases and have an excellent supply partner group when additional resources are called for. Our tool path programming is the best in the business. We create the most effective, efficient tool path programs to best cut your parts in the least amount of time to help drive cost out of your business.
